The event focused on the high-growth markets of Mexico, Latin America, and Spain., followed by an evening reception. “The turnout that we had on the conferences delivered in Spanish — for the first time! — was outstanding,” said Carlos Mortera, senior director - Latin America at AMT. “We received excellent comments on the quality of the presentations, and I think we will produce an even larger and broader audience for 2026. Our sponsors are happy. A couple of them are excited because they already started selling machines by the second day of the show.”Omar Martinez Gonzalez is an original equipment and aftermarket manager with Industria Nacional de Autopartes (Mexico’s National Auto Parts Association), and he attended IMTS for the first time. “To achieve the highest quality required for the automotive industry, we need a lot of support from the machinery industry to provide qualification and training programs,” he says. “IMTS is really outstanding because of the great quality and quantity of suppliers of machinery services, and there are so many machines to see working in real time. IMTS is helping to integrate the North American supply chain with players from Canada, United States, and Mexico.” IMTS 2024 also featured two IMTS Elevate: Women Make Manufacturing Move (WMMM) events, which attracted 310 registrants.“My CEO is all about empowering women and bringing those that are in her business to make the best of themselves. We both thought that this would be a fantastic opportunity to get to see what some of the brightest minds in manufacturing have been able to do, and for the inspiration,” said WMMM breakfast attendee Caitlin Benkoski, senior mechanical engineer at IB International. “We can find other like-minded women to network with and see where we can partner. I was inspired by all the women I heard.”“They announced that registration is more than 30% female, and I love that we’re making space in this industry for more people with different backgrounds,” added Denise King, business development director, industrial ventilation with exhibitor Absolent Air Care Group Americas. The WMMM reception and breakfast events were created so that exhibitors like King could participate in an event without interfering with booth responsibilities.IMTS Elevate Job Shops covered three days of the show and attracted 200 business leaders.
